8 Weeks = Pinto Bean

Well we finally made it to the week mark. This is where I was last time when I miscarried. I can't help but feel nervous and anxious. This pregnancy does feel completely different so it brings me hope.

Turns out my uterus is now the size of a grape fruit instead of its normal size which is the size of a fist. It's all stretched out making room for the baby to grow.
Yesterday was a bad day for me. It was a throw up day. I did everything like I was supposed to, ate crackers before I got out of bed, ate on the way to work, ate my breakfast at break, ate some more then ate some more after that. Still had to throw up.
Today was far better. Only the queasiness that one feels when they have a hangover. I'm hoping for another good day tomorrow!
At Eight Weeks:

Last week your little tootsie was a blueberry, this week it’s back to the legume family: baby is about ¾” long, or roughly the size of a pinto bean. Luckily, that’s where the resemblance ends. Your magic bean is growing eyelid folds and the nerve cells in his retinas are beginning to form. The heart is being embellished with aortic and pulmonary valves. Fingers and toes have progressed beyond bud stage and now are formed down to the first joint, although they are still webbed. And baby finally has a funny bone − you’ll have to wait a bit to test it out, though!

The Ultimate Hangover

So this really cool girl I know gave me the words to describe how I feel. I feel hungover. Tired, no energy, head achy, queasy greasy feeling stomach. Problem is I can't just order up a plate of biscuits and get over it. Anyone ever had a 9 month hangover? Even if it only lasts for 3 months, I'm so over it already.

One Dozen Roses... I Mean Rolos

So normally a girl swoons over a dozen roses but this girl went gaga over over a dozen rolos!!! Thanks to Garrett and Brandy for the sweet treat. (its not like I can button my pants any way :-)).

We verified today that onions are no longer in my diet. I don't normally eat onions as it is but if something came with onions I could just pick them off and eat my meal. This is no longer the case. If onions come in contact with my food there is no eating that food. The smell of onions brings on the gag reflex. Poor Ivan, he's stuck finishing off all the food I can't eat. Soon he won't be able to button his pants either. I now know how sympathy weight is gained.

7 weeks 2 Days

Hello all,

Ivan and I decided this would be an easy way to keep everyone updated with what's going on with us and Baby Rolo. We are calling our baby "Rolo" for now due to my very first craving with this pregnancy. Good thing I wasn't craving Spam, cuz that would just be weird.

I haven't vomited for a few days, I've figured out I have to eat ALL THE TIME or the baby makes me puke. It is really hard to eat food at 4 AM when I first wake up. I just force down the crackers and water and I tend to be fine.

There are two things that I can't seem to get past. I get carsick every time I go any where. Also I want to sleep. I get home from work and lay down because of my upset tummy and I fall asleep for an hour or two. Everyday I nap. Everyday no chores get done. Thank goodness for Ivan. He is doing a wonderful job of taking care of me. He packs my lunch for me everyday while I'm up in bed (still sleeping). He's been doing the dishes, laundry, grocery shopping and taking care of both me and Daisy

Here's what's going on with Baby Rolo

This week, your little lentil leaps headlong into the fruit bowl, achieving coveted blueberry status. Thankfully, he or she is beginning to resemble a little person: Leg buds will appear and arm buds grow a bit longer and start to divide into segments, one for the hand and one for the arm. The baby also now has digital plates on hands and feet where fingers and toes will eventually develop. Thanks to these beginning limbs, the little guy is already moving around inside the amniotic sac which will be his home for the next eight months. Internal organ systems are also evolving at a steady pace: the baby’s teensy ticker already has its right and left chambers and the lungs have developed their primary bronchii. The pancreas is fully formed and ready to start working, as is the appendix. Last, but not least, baby’s intestines are taking shape, but instead of being located in the abdominal region, they are developing outside the body, in the umbilical cord! By: ePregnancy
