8 Weeks = Pinto Bean

Well we finally made it to the week mark. This is where I was last time when I miscarried. I can't help but feel nervous and anxious. This pregnancy does feel completely different so it brings me hope.

Turns out my uterus is now the size of a grape fruit instead of its normal size which is the size of a fist. It's all stretched out making room for the baby to grow.
Yesterday was a bad day for me. It was a throw up day. I did everything like I was supposed to, ate crackers before I got out of bed, ate on the way to work, ate my breakfast at break, ate some more then ate some more after that. Still had to throw up.
Today was far better. Only the queasiness that one feels when they have a hangover. I'm hoping for another good day tomorrow!
At Eight Weeks:

Last week your little tootsie was a blueberry, this week it’s back to the legume family: baby is about ¾” long, or roughly the size of a pinto bean. Luckily, that’s where the resemblance ends. Your magic bean is growing eyelid folds and the nerve cells in his retinas are beginning to form. The heart is being embellished with aortic and pulmonary valves. Fingers and toes have progressed beyond bud stage and now are formed down to the first joint, although they are still webbed. And baby finally has a funny bone − you’ll have to wait a bit to test it out, though!

Thanks ePregnancy!
